An entrepreneur from Mountain View County has returned from an Alberta Chambers of Commerce event in Leduc with not one, but two awards.
The annual Alberta Business Awards of Distinction ceremony was held last Wednesday and Debora Rice-Salomons, President of Mountain View Events which operates the Heritage Centre at Cremona, was the winner in the category of female entrepreneur.
However, that wasn’t all, she also took home Alberta’s Best of Business Award of Distinction – the top award of its kind in the province. Rice-Salomons says “just absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been selected to receive these awards. It was a great honour. I was so happy to have been able to be in the final of the Best of Business category with some wonderful businesses and very, very proud and pleased that we won.”
Rice-Salomons adds, that M-V-E The Heritage Centre has never won anything of this stature before so they will be working on finding a good place to display the awards and show them off. See the full list of winners for 2026 here.
