Mounties Searching For Suspect After Innisfail RCMP Vehicle Was Rammed On June 5

Innisfail RCMP are reporting that a police vehicle was rammed by fleeing suspect vehicle earlier today.

This morning (June 5th) at around 9:20am, Innisfail RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious truck at the Ghost Pine store in Pine Lake.

According to police, witnesses suspected the occupants of the vehicle were using drugs.

RCMP confirm that they located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

Mounties say when the RCMP officer was outside of his vehicle the suspect vehicle reversed, at a high rate of speed. Police add, the officer moved out of the way and was nearly hit, and the suspect vehicle struck the RCMP vehicle causing significant damage.

After fleeing at a high rate of speed, the suspect vehicle has still not been located by RCMP.

It is described as a 2016 Ford F-150, 4 door. The truck is white, with significant scratches all over it and it has Alberta Licence plate CMN 2779.

Public assistance is requested while RCMP continue their investigation and anyone with information about this vehicle or the driver are asked to call the Innisfail RCMP Detachment at 403-227-3342, your local police, or CRIMESTOPPERS.
