Fire Ban reduced to Fire Restriction for Mountain View County

Moisture received by some parts of the County over the past few days has allowed the Fire Ban in Mountain View County to by downgraded to a Fire Restriction.

What is allowed under a Fire Restriction are thing like acceptable burning barrels, acceptable fire pits, barbecues, and household fireplaces.

Full details are available on Mountain View County’s website and County officials say no new fire permits will be issued until the Fire Restriction is lifted.

MV County officials also point out that Wildfire RWF-036-2026 in Clearwater County has transitioned to a “being held” state and favorable conditions are in the forecast for the remainder of the week.
