Fundraising BBQ for Special O at Gallery of Floors on March 27

This month you can “get your floor on” in support of an outstanding community organization.

Throughout March, Karen Mengersen – Chair of Special Olympics Olds & District – highlights the fact that they have been receiving ten cents from every square foot of flooring sold at Gallery of Floors in Uptowne Olds. Mengersen says “just over the moon grateful because, basically, the people that we are helping are on very limited income. Some of them are able to work, but not all of them, so their income is like $1,700 a month now and housing itself is very expensive for many of them. For us to be able to keep our fees down in any way possible and still give them the opportunity to participate in a sport and participate with friends where they can gain confidence and a skill, and just acceptance is fantastic.”

96.5 The Ranch will be on location at Gallery of Floors from 10am until 2pm on Friday, March 27th along with some of the local Special Olympians and there will be a free BBQ as well.
