Talking about traceability: Alberta Beef Producers schedule town hall meeting for March 2

A town hall meeting is set for Monday, March 2nd for Alberta Beef Producers to discuss the important topic of traceability.

ABP’s General Manager Brad Dubeau notes that representatives from the government of Alberta, the Office of the Chief Provincial Veterinarian, the Canadian Cattle Association, Livestock Identification Services, and more will be on hand for it. He says “the focus of the session is to allow our producers to share that perspective directly to those representatives on the stage – and our representatives – to be able to listen to those perspectives.”

Registration is available on the ABP Daily website. Dubeau says “this event is specific for our cattle producers. We want to make sure there is ample opportunity and room for our cattle producers to make sure that they get their voices heard as we continue on, on that traceability discussion.” Producers can attend virtually or they can go in-person to Calgary for either Monday’s town hall or next week’s annual general meeting. The town hall will start at 1:30 at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel in the city’s northeast.
