Check out the full list of nominees for the 2026 MVAN Women In Business Awards

The nominations are in for the upcoming Mountain View and Neighbours Women in Business Awards.

According to Volunteer Coordinator Debora Rice-Salomons, they were just thrilled with the support of the community for the deserving women in all six award categories with a total of 79 nominations coming in. She says “Clearwater County, out in our west country, they had 6 nominations. Whereas, Kneehill – including Three Hills and Trochu – had 8. Mountain View County really came in strong with 25 nominees from the County itself, then 10 on top of that from Olds, 6 from Carstairs, 6 from Sundre for a total of 47 in the Mountain View County and area.”

61 individual women were nominated for awards with some of them being nominated multiple times or in multiple categories. Rice-Salomons says “8 Women in Agriculture, 22 Women in Business For Profit, 9 Women in Business Not-For-Profit, 4 Women in Energy, and 14 – the crowning jewel – Woman of Influence. So a really nice mix of industry and a really nice mix across our three counties and all the towns and villages within.” She was also excited that they had 7 for the new category of Rising Star – Young Woman.
