Westerner Park to launch the Red Deer Pro Rodeo in May of 2026

A news release from Westerner Park confirms that professional rodeo is returning to Red Deer next spring.

The organization has announced the launch of the Red Deer Pro Rodeo, set for May 21st to 23rd, 2026, at the Marchant Crane Centrium.

The event brings pro rodeo action back to a community with deep western roots and a long-standing connection to the sport.

As one of the first stops on the 2026 Canadian professional rodeo circuit, the release says the event is expected to attract top athletes and strong fan support early in the season.

It’s been designed to honour traditional rodeo culture while reflecting Central Alberta’s identity.

Westerner Park also says visitors can look forward to a nightly Music Cabaret after each performance, creating a full weekend festival atmosphere.

Full schedules and additional details will be released early next year, and tickets will be available through TicketsAlberta.com.
