The First Baptist Church in Olds will host the annual Christmas concert for the Olds Community Chorus on Wednesday night at 7 o’clock.
Chorus Director Theresa Wasden highlights the fact that tickets are available at the door and it is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and kids ages 12 and under get in for free. She says “we have a little bit of everything from the traditional Christmas carols to some country music. The theme of the concert this time is ‘Let It Be Christmas’ – an Alan Jackson tune. So we’ve got everything from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to Pretty Paper by Willie Nelson, a little bit of Blue Christmas and Silver Bells. It is a little bit of everything for everybody.”
Wasden says the variety of music they play allows them to reach entire families – they want children to come, seniors to come, and families to come and be together. She adds, the Olds Community Chorus currently has about 40 members.
