Funding boost straight out of the oven: GNP among local organizations to benefit from Holiday Smile Cookies

Proceeds from the annual Holiday Smile Cookie campaign in Sundre will help Greenwood Neighbourhood Place continue to offer its programs.

Bree Odd, Executive Director at GNP, notes they serve the community with programs for children and families, as well as seniors. Odd says “we do have a tab on our website, so they can go in and register to have some cookies bought online or they can come in and grab a printed out form and take it down to Tims and order that way.” She adds, the pre-order form is active now on their website – mygnp.org.

Holiday Smile Cookies will be available at Tim Hortons locations across the country from November 17th through the 23rd. They cost $2 each and 100 per cent of the proceeds goes to local charities and community groups. Odd says “we were just really happy to be chosen for this, this year and we are looking forward to being able to provide more programs in the future.” She points out that they have been chosen to benefit from the Smile Cookie proceeds in the past and it has come back to them this year, so they jumped at the opportunity.

The two locations in Olds will help out the Men’s Shed of Olds, the locations in Innisfail and Bowden will be supporting the Innisfail Food Bank, in Didsbury proceeds will assist the Bethany Care Foundation, and in Carstairs the smile cookies will provide a funding boost for the Carstairs Lions Club.
