The 4th annual free Bowden community Christmas dinner has a new home this year.
It will be at the Paterson Community Centre instead of at the Bowden Event/Friendship Centre, according to Organizer Edie Sale. She says “it is just wonderful because they have a beautiful facility and a commercial kitchen and we feel very honoured that they are helping us out this year.”
Sale notes that she is very fortunate to have a lot of volunteers that come back year after year. She says “helping us cook, clean, prepare, donate, and also the Town of Bowden has been very generous with their donation to us.” Contact Edie at 403-396-8888 if you would like to volunteer to help out with the free Bowden community Christmas dinner.
Sale adds, this year they will also have special treat with Santa and Mrs. Claus joining them. She estimates that they served 137 dinners in 2024 and they do provide take-out meals. This year it will run from noon until 2pm on Wednesday, December 24th.
