Step into the past, solve a mysterious WWII death while supporting the Didsbury Army Cadets

The 3025 Didsbury Army Cadets currently have 35 members in Didsbury but they also cover Olds, Sundre, Cremona, and Bowden.

They are for ages 12 up to 19, according to Fundraiser Coordinator Tanya Planken. She adds, becoming involved in cadets is more than just leadership and team building. Planken says “you create respect, manners, goals, principles, values, you learn key elements of life, how to work and manage yourself. It brings on the foundation that you require as a teenager/youth that you can take direct and forward that into your adulthood, and it gives you good value and structure as well.”

Meanwhile, the Didsbury Army Cadet Support Committee is holding a Murder Mystery: Unsolved Cold Case this Saturday at the Didsbury Elks Hall with dinner at 6pm, and the game following at 7. She says “a murder mystery unsolved game of Veronica Falcone and she is a victim of a murder. She is a World War II spy hero. This is our first event, ever. I’m pretty excited. Everybody gets a file, everybody becomes a P.I. (private investigator), and everybody gets to have fun and enjoy a hot, great meal and socialize and have a great time, as well as helping out the kids.” Tickets are $40 dollars per person and you can get yours by e-transfer – at [email protected]. Check out their Facebook page here.
