This is a busy time of year with local athletes getting registered and set up with the different sports they want to participate in for Special Olympics Olds & District.
Chair Karen Mengersen notes that they have a total of 11 sports that happen throughout the year. She says “we have, I would say, between 115 and 120 athletes. We cover from Sundre to Three Hills, Carstairs to Innisfail and all of Olds and everything in between.”
She says swimming and bowling are underway. Mengersen points out that floor curling at the Evergreen Centre starts next Monday, October 6th.
