80 participants helped the Olds Terry Fox run raise over $8,200 to support his legacy and cancer research.
Race Director Noel Darcy points out that donations came in on line, and donations came in on the day. He says “it is actually the highest amount since 2005. It is a 20 year high.and last year we were like $3,400 and some change. So it has more than doubled last year’s amount and it is still open for donations online at this time, so there may still be more donations in the coming days.”
Darcy notes they had great weather on Sunday in Olds and it was a very successful Terry Fox Run overall. He adds, a big thank you to all of the participants, to all of the volunteers, and to Mountain View Strength and Conditioning as well for being the host site for the start and finish line of the run.
