Turbo boosting up their spirits: Ride of a lifetime for Hope 4 MVC Kids, Make-A-Wish Canada

The Ride of a Lifetime speeds through Mountain View County this month.

Cardel Homes is providing an opportunity for 11 children from Hope 4 MVC Kids along with 11 children from Make-A-Wish Canada to go for a spin in high-performance vehicles on a professional racetrack.

Lisa Nicholson, Founder of the Hope 4 MVC Kids Society, says it will all be happening on September 13th at the Rocky Mountain Motorsports Race Circuit. She says “oh they are so excited. We are really looking forward to seeing all of the kids smiles light up. We are just excited that the kids and their families will get to have this wonderful opportunity – especially given the struggles they have endured. It is so exciting for us and Cardel have been an absolute dream to work with. So we could not be more thrilled about the thrilling adventure that these kidos are going to have.”

Jared Prete, Corporate Sales Centre Production Manager with Cardel Homes, notes the charity event was founded back in the year 2000. He says “we take kids from the charity – usually ones that have some sort of a life challenging or changing or ending disability or disease e.i. cancer or cardiac stuff. What we do is we get together a bunch of drivers with exotic cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and we take them out onto the racetrack as passengers in these cars to get them out of their funk for a little bit and put a smile on their face.”

Prete says guests can also purchase a lap in one of the cars with the proceeds going to Hope 4 MVC Kids and Make-A-Wish. Go online to cardelrideofalifetime.com to learn more.
