The public is still being urged to exercise caution while burning, but as of Friday (June 20th) the fire ban has been lifted in all of Mountain View County.
According to the County, there have been “favourable conditions in the past week and forecasted moisture and lower temperatures” so the fire risk has been lowered.
More details about fire permits, which are required year-round, can be discovered on the Mountain View County website.
Precautionary measures while burning are always encouraged for residents of the county. They include having a supply of water readily available at all times, using screens and spark arrestors on burning barrels, as well as cultivating areas surrounding controlled burns.
