Temporary water restrictions to be in effect for Olds residents from June 9th to 13th

The Town of Olds is advising residents that a temporary level two water restriction will be in place from June 9th to the 13th.

The Town’s water restrictions come in four levels, with level two imposing an outright ban on all outside watering. This comes as a result of water meter repairs at the North Reservoir.

Officials say water will remain available, but system pressure may be lower than normal, so using water-reliant appliances like dishwashers and washing machines during this time is not advised.

Additionally, the water will remain safe to drink, and while the Town indicates they do not “anticipate” any impact to the water supply, residents who experience water issues can call the Town’s on-call number at (403)-994-1376 to report any concerns.

The project is scheduled from June 9th to the 13th, depending on the weather, and residents can keep an eye out for any updates on the Town’s dedicated “Current Construction” webpage.
