Olds College Fine Arts Centre receives $125K provincial funding bump

Olds College’s Fine Arts Theatre and Multi Media Centre is the latest to receive a $125K Community Facility Enhancement Program grant to upgrade one of the school’s most valued public facilities.

CFEP grants are available through the province in two streams: large and small, offering financial assistance to support upgrades, expansions, purchases, or building of cultural, heritage, recreational or other related public-use community facilities.

At the college, the funding will be used to support “critical tech improvements” that President Debbie Thompson says will benefit students, performers, and community members alike.

“We deeply appreciate this investment from the Alberta Government,” she says. “The Fine Arts Centre is a vital gathering place for learning, expression and community engagement- this grant will help us ensure it continues to inspire and serve for years to come.”

The next batch of CFEP grant recipients will be rolled out in September.
