Didsbury council approves RCMP policing priorities for 2025, first reading of tax rate bylaw

Didsbury council approved the 2025 RCMP policing priorities at it’s April 8th meeting.

Mayor Rhonda Hunter explains what the top priorities are. She says “crime prevention, road safety – including traffic violation enforcement, and community engagement. Sergeant Jamie Day presented the third quarter report for the Didsbury RCMP Detachment which highlighted crime reduction, especially in persons and property crimes.”

Also last Tuesday, Mayor Hunter adds that council gave first reading to the 2025 tax rate bylaw. She says the financial planning committee will review the bylaw for recommendation of a residential/non-residential tax rate split to be presented at the April 22nd meeting where the tax rate is expected to be approved.
