Olds Fire Department’s Rooftop Campout Fundraiser Starts On May 10

The Olds Fire Department is once again raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
OFD Firefighter Matt Williams says their Roof Top Camp Out is coming up this weekend. He points out that this is fourth year running the fundraiser and their goal for 2024 is to collect $10,000 dollars.
The Olds Fire Department’s Roof Top Camp Out fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy Canada starts at noon on Friday, May 10th and Williams says they will have six to eight of their firefighters who will volunteer to stay up on the roof in a tent overnight on Friday and Saturday.

According to Williams, they will have members filling up a fireman’s boot with cash and they will also have boots with debit tied into them, so they can accept donations that way as well at the Fire Hall. Anybody and everybody is welcome to stop by, and he says they will have activites for kids as well.

Follow the Olds Fire Department on Facebook as they will post more details about the Roof Top Camp Out throughout the week.
