Birds versus Barons in opening round of playoffs

The puck drops to start the North Central Senior Men’s AA Hockey League playoffs this weekend for the Innisfail Eagles.

The Birds finished in third place during the regular season with a record of 11-4-1 so they will face off with the sixth place Devon Barons in a best-of-five series.

The opening round of the playoffs begins tonight for Innisfail with Game 1 in Devon. The Eagles will then welcome the Barons to the Twin Arenas for Game 2 on Sunday at 2pm.

Devon had a record of 6-7-3 during the regular season.
