Explore the Mountain View Museum this summer

The Mountain View Museum has enjoyed a good summer so far, with plenty of happenings already in the books and still to come this month.

One of the staples at the Museum is Inspire Your Heart With Art, which takes place most Saturday’s during the summer from 1 until 3pm.

Chantal Marchildon is Manager of the Mountain View Museum, she says the event is in partnership with Olds and District Special Family Voices and has been a big hit.

“This is our second year partnering with Olds and District Special Family Voices, and they’re wonderful partners. We got together and decided what we were going to do. We have different artists coming in, offering different types of classes. And with Inspire Your Heart with Art, we welcome absolutely everyone.”

The Museum will also welcome a new exhibit beginning August 13th, featuring works from local artists in partnership with the Legacy Land Trust Society.

Another event planned for the month is a Scavenger Hunt throughout Uptowne Olds, Marchildon says it will be a big day.

‘On August 23rd, we’re hosting our fantastic scavenger hunt, Bike for History! Start at the museum, pick up your historical clues, and then explore our beautiful uptown to find the businesses that match them. You’ll have two hours to complete the hunt, and we’ve got some great prizes lined up this year. ”

The Scavenger Hunt on August 23rd costs $10 per person or $20 for a family.
