Didsbury and Airdrie RCMP respond to fatal collision

A fatal single-vehicle collision early Saturday morning has claimed the life of a Calgary man.

At approximately 6 on July 26th, Didsbury and Airdrie RCMP responded to the scene at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 581 in Carstairs. Emergency Medical Services and local fire crews also attended.

Upon arrival, RCMP confirmed that the lone male occupant, a 53-year-old resident of Calgary, was deceased at the scene.

A collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation, and the cause of the crash remains under review.

RCMP have extended their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
