Advanced voting wraps up this weekend for provincial by-elections

This is the final day (June 21st) for advanced voting for the provincial by-election in the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills constituency.

Advanced voting began on Tuesday (June 17th) and it wraps up today.

Ballots can be cast today from 9am until 8pm at two of the four advanced voting locations. In Olds, that is at the Cow Palace on the Olds Regional Exhibition grounds. In Three Hills, it is at the Centennial Place Arena.

Four candidates are running in the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills by-election. They are Cam Davies of the Republican Party of Alberta, Tara Sawyer of the United Conservative Party of Alberta, Bev Toews of Alberta’s New Democrats, and Bill Tufts of the Wildrose Loyalty Coalition.

Election day for all three of the provincial by-elections is on Monday, June 23rd from 9am until 8pm. In addition to the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills constituency, there are also by-elections in the ridings of Edmonton-Strathcona and Edmonton-Ellerslie.

84 of the 87 current seats in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta are occupied with the UCP represented in 46, the Alberta NDP in 36, and there are also 2 independent MLAs.
