Red Deer Polytechnic Holds 60th Convocation

The Class of 2024 was celebrated at Red Deer Polytechnic on Friday, June 7th.

The local post secondary institution’s 60th Convocation ceremonies were held in the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre and they featured attendance by over 800 of the 1,853 eligible graduates.

According to a press release from RDP, Honourary Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Degrees were granted to both Dr. George Littlechild and Sheldon Kennedy for providing meaningful impact provincially, nationally, and globally.

Meanwhile, achieving the highest overall academic standing for the members of 2024 graduating class at Red Deer Polytechnic resulted in Catrina Amendt receiving the Governor General’s Academic Medal at the Collegiate Bronze Level.

Red Deer Polytechnic President Stuart Cullum states that they are delighted to celebrate their largest Convocation ceremony and graduating class in our institution’s history.
