All things Scottish: Robbie Burns Night 2026 at the Innisfail Legion

Worldwide celebrations are coming up later this month in memory of Robbie Burns.

Mike McCletchie, Chairman of the Innisfail Legion Pipe Band, highlights the fact that they’ll honour the famous Scottish poet and lyricist with a special dinner at the Legion on Saturday, January 24th. McCletchie says “the pipe band will be playing the concert in conjunction with the MacLeod of Lewis Dancers, who will be dancing several dances. Afterwards there will be a program of some more piping and poetry and song, and the immortal memory to Robert Burns.”

Tickets to this month’s Robbie Burns dinner at the Innisfail Legion are $40 and all the details can be found here. McCletchie says “he was certainly a poet who was in touch with the things of the common man and Scottish dialect. I love Robbie Burns. I recite several of his poems and the Address to a Haggis and, of course, that is part of what the people will have is have supper with the haggis.”
