Family fun, mutt’n bustin’ and more at 2025 Didsbury Rodeo

Summer may be winding down but the big event for the Town of Didsbury is still to come.

The Didsbury Rodeo weekend features action from the Foothills Cowboy Association on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, plus more events including the Clifford Scott Tractor Pull on Sunday.

Vair Whitlow, Director with the Didsbury Ag Society, explains what is new for 2025. He says “well I think we’ve done quite a bit to our facilities and we’ve put a cement floor in our entertainment centre. We’ve got lots of things happening, so it should be a good weekend and it sounds like the weather is going to cooperate.”

Saturday is jam packed with activities. He says “Saturday morning we start with a pancake breakfast and a parade, thanks to the Didsbury Elks. 1 o’clock there is a rodeo and we have many features there. Food trucks, of course, will be there again. We have a kid zone, balloon scramble, mutt’n bustin’, wild pony race, the beer gardens, musical entertainment by the Plaiders, and there will be a dance in the evening.”

More details about all of this weekend’s activities can be found on the Didsbury Ag Society’s website.
