Another summer of multi-generational park parties are coming up in the Town of Olds.
Community Development Supervisor Heather Dixon with the Town’s Community Connection Centre points out that the park parties will feature free a hot dog BBQ and fun family activities and they are for all ages. They will start on Thursday, July 10th from 5 until 7pm at Briegel Playground and continue with one each week at a different park in Olds until the finale on August 28th. She says “the goal of the park parties really is for our community residents to come out and make some connections. Maybe build some new relationships, get to know their neighbours and also go out and check out all the great parks and spaces that we have in Olds.”
She notes that the finale on August 28th will be at Centennial Park and it will be a foam party plus a meet and greet with the Olds College Broncos student athletes. Dixon says “you know the Olds College Broncos look forward to doing it every year, so it is starting to become a tradition to end our summer. So we are excited to do that again.”
