The community will gather at Napoleon Sports Field for Innisfail’s kick off to Canada Day revelling on June 30th.
Ken Kowalchuk, Communications & Marketing Manager with the Town of Innisfail, discusses the importance of bringing in some great entertainment for their residents on Monday. He says “it makes it more festive. We have some dancers, we have some music. Performances will start at around 5:30. At the end of the evening we have the Sour Patch Men at around 9 p.m. and then Cole Malone is joining us just after 10.”
Kowalchuk explains why they are getting an early start by holding the fireworks and more on Monday instead of on Tuesday, July 1st. He says “we do it early so that people can enjoy the fireworks. Most people have the 1st (of July) off, so we do the fireworks on the evening of the 30th (of June). If they run a little late, people have the next day to sleep in and enjoy the day off.”
If any weather issues arise, Kowalchuk adds, they will move the live entertainment and music performances inside the Innisfail Arena.
