MVF Community Care Society hosting by-election forum at Olds SportsComplex

A by-election candidates forum is coming up tonight (June 17th) for the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills constituency.

It will be hosted by the MVF Community Care Society which notes that at this time all four candidates have been invited and three of them have committed to attend.

The candidates running are Tara Sawyer with the United Conservative Party, Cam Davies with the Republican Party of Alberta, Bill Tufts of the Wildrose Loyalty Coalition, and Bev Toews of the Alberta New Democratic Party.

The Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills by-election forum is set to run from 7pm until 9 o’clock on Tuesday, June 17th at the Olds SportsComplex with access from the south door/ramp.

The by-election is needed to fill a vacancy created when after a decade as the MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills Nathan Cooper resigned in order to accept a new job as Alberta’s new senior representative to the United States.

The by-election is on June 23rd. Two other provincial by-elections will also be held that day. One is in Edmonton-Strathcona and the other is in Edmonton-Ellerslie.
