The 65th anniversary edition of the Daines Ranch Pro Rodeo is coming up later this week.
Rodeo organizer Kyle Daines invites everyone to join them just north of Innisfail for the Daines Ranch Pro Rodeo from this Friday through Sunday (June 13-15).
He points out that the stock will be world class. Daines says “it is always a pleasure and it is always lots of fun. This year I would have to say the big privilege, this year, coming to the ranch is going to be world champion Virgil of Bar C5 (Rodeo Company). It’s the first time he has ever bucked in our arena and, yeah, this is a big deal for all the fans.”
The first two full rodeo performances will be on Friday and Saturday nights and then the finale is on Sunday at 2pm. He says “top notch quality cowboys and some of the best stock you are going to see. This stock goes to the CFR (Canadian Finals Rodeo), the NFR (National Finals Rodeo) and when you match them up with the good cowboys, good things happen. Then we got lots of timed events, lots of Americans coming up, and of course we’ve always got the great Canadians up here.”
