Don’t get leaf-t behind: Sign up now for Rotary Club’s fly the flag fundraiser

The Rotary Club of Olds is hoping that national pride can help fuel a fundraiser they are running this spring and into the summer.

So far more than 110 residents have signed up to showcase their Canadian spirit by purchasing a ticket to rent a 3′ by 5′ flag to be installed on their front lawn.

Steve Turner, Rotary Club of Olds President, says renting the Canadian flag costs $75 dollars and they hope to reach their goal of having 300 of them on lawns in Town from May 12th until just after Canada Day in July.

He adds, they have partnered up with the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron – the 185th – for the fundraiser. Go to the Rotary Club of Olds website to sign up.

Turner points out that the funds raised from the Fly the Flag campaign will support the community service project work being done by the Rotary Club of Olds.
