The Hike for Hospice is a national fundraising event that supports palliative care in your local region.
Mary Marshall, Executive Director with the Mountain View Hospice Society, says they will be raising funds and awareness for palliative care this Sunday in both Olds and Didsbury.
She notes their annual Hike for Hospice is set for May the 4th so it will feature a Star Wars theme this year.
Marshall points out that they have set a fundraising goal of $30,000 for 2025. She says “we’re well on our way. We’ve had a ton of local organizations support as well. So we have a few sponsors this year, which is fantastic, and we just hope for participation and see lots of community members on Sunday.”
The Hike for Hospice starts at 10am this Sunday at both Holy Trinity School in Olds and at Daphne’s Market in Didsbury. It family friendly and features various distances.
