RCMP searching for 39-year-old man following violent assault in Olds

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a violent offender following a serious assault in the Town of Olds.

Olds RCMP say it happened on March 28th and when police arrived a “female victim was located with multiple serious injuries.”

A male suspect was identified as a result of the investigation and a 39-year-old resident of Olds was charged with break and enter, aggravated assault, unlawful confinement, assault while choking, suffocating or strangling, assault, uttering threats, and criminal harassment.

Mounties say Dustin Martin was held in custody and released. He then failed to attend a court date set for April 7th in Didsbury, according to police.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Olds RCMP Detachment, your local police or CRIMESTOPPERS.
