Help shape Sundre’s downtown, apply now to sit on ad-hoc committee

Volunteers are needed to help fill an ad-hoc committee in Sundre.

People can apply to join the committee to contribute to the development and execution of Sundre’s Downtown Redevelopment Plan. The individuals could be from various stakeholder groups, local service providers, and more.

Benazir Thaha Valencia, Director of Community Development with the Town of Sundre, says they are basically looking to build upon a vision for the downtown area. She says “just a vision for Sundre for the next 10 years. What it is going to look like, the aesthetic look of the downtown. How we are going to improve the downtown.”

She notes that the committee will meet once a month and will dissolve once the Area Redevelopment Plan is adopted by Sundre council. Thaha Valencia says “so interested parties are encouraged to submit an expression of interest indicating why they should be part of the committee and how they could contribute to the project’s success.”

If this sounds like something you want to be part of, please submit an expression of interest via email to TownMail@Sundre.com before April 18th.
