U18 AA Grizzlys begin provincials by beating CBHA Rangers

Colin MacDougall backstopped the U18 AA Olds Grizzlys to victory in their opening game at provincials.

He made 31 saves on Thursday, March 27th as they got past the Calgary Buffalo Hockey Association Rangers 2-1 at the Grand Fuhr Arena.

Memphis Willsie and Paxton Overwater scored the goals for Olds. The Grizzlys outshot the Rangers 35-32.

The rest of the schedule for Olds in the round robin portion of the provincial tourney includes games on Friday morning versus the Strathcona Warriors and Friday afternoon against the KC Colts. The U18 AA Grizzlys will face off with the host team – the PAC GS Construction Saints tomorrow.

The AEHL’s U18 AA provincial championship game is set for 1pm on Sunday at the Grant Fuhr Arena.
