Cochrane RCMP attend scene of fatal motor vehicle collision

A motor vehicle collision east of Cochrane has claimed the life of a Calgary resident.

It happened on Wednesday, March 19th at about 5:15am on Highway 1A at the intersection of Mountain Ridge Place.

Mounties say, upon arrival of police, the driver of one of the vehicles – a 35-year-old man from Calgary – was determined to be deceased.

RCMP note that the two occupants of the second vehicle were seriously injured and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Alberta RCMP pass along their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
