Cold hard fundraising: 2025 Polar Plunge held at Innisfail’s Dark Woods Brewing

Participants in the Polar Plunge were freezin’ for a reason over the weekend.

Brave volunteers took a dip in cold tubs set up at Dark Woods Brewing in Innisfail.

Nick Bell, Owner at Dark Woods Brewing, explains what charity they were supporting at Saturday’s event. He says “this is our third annual Polar Plunge. This year we are raising funds for the Helping Hand Fund. Helping Hand Fund helps out young individuals that are looking to play sports. I played sports my whole life growing up in Innisfail and it means a lot to me.”

Nearly 20 volunteers took the plunge including our own Producer here at Vista Radio in Olds, Ris Schultz. Ris was to raise over $300 dollars in pledges for the cause.
